Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might be wondering before you design and plant your garden with Plantista.

Is my design really made by AI?

Yes. You upload a photo of your yard, mark the area you want planted, and our AI generates a realistic visualization of how that space could look once it's grown in. Think of it as inspiration you can hold onto, not a construction blueprint.

The plants we suggest are real, purchasable plants chosen for your climate. The AI handles the picture, and local horticultural expertise stands behind the plant choices.

Does generating a design use a lot of energy?

Each design uses a small amount of computing power, similar to streaming a short video. We generate images only when you ask for them and reuse your saved design instead of regenerating it, so we keep that footprint low.

Designing before you plant also prevents waste in the other direction: choosing the right plants for your yard the first time means fewer replacements, fewer wasted trips, and less that ends up in the compost.

Will my new garden need a lot of water?

Not necessarily. We prioritize plants suited to your hardiness zone, and where it fits your style you'll see drought-tolerant and regionally native options that thrive on less water once established.

New plantings need regular water for the first season while they root in. After that, a climate-appropriate garden typically settles into a much lighter watering routine.

How do my plants get delivered?

When you reserve your plants, your order is fulfilled by our growing partner and shipped to your door. You can check out as a guest. No account required.

What if a plant arrives damaged or doesn't make it?

We want your garden to succeed. If a plant arrives damaged or in poor condition, reach out and we'll make it right.

For questions about a specific order, contact us at contact@plantista.ai and we'll walk you through the next steps.

Are these plants actually right for where I live?

That's the whole point. We check your ZIP code against USDA hardiness zones and only surface plants and design styles that suit your zone and the amount of sun your space gets.

Our design recipes are shaped with local horticultural expertise, so the recommendations reflect what genuinely grows well in your area, not a generic catalog.
